How the Keeper Score works.

Every Keeper Score is a composite of six safety dimensions, read from three government travel advisories and translated into one of four plain-language ratings.

  • Street (day)Walking the streets in daylight — main thoroughfares, markets, transit hubs.
  • Street (night)After dark — when streets thin out, when to take a cab, where stays lit.
  • TransitBuses, metros, taxis, ride-shares — what's safe and what's flagged.
  • NightlifeBars, clubs, late-night districts — the edge cases worth knowing.
  • Petty crimePickpocketing, scams, distraction theft — what's common and where.
  • HealthAir, water, food, medical access — the non-crime risks travelers underweight.
